About Teresa:

Teresa C. Long, M.D., M.P.H, has served as Columbus’ health commissioner since her appointment by Mayor Michael Coleman and the Columbus Board of Health in 2002. As health commissioner, she serves as the chief executive for the health department where she oversees more than 40 public health programs, 500 employees and an annual budget of nearly $47 million. Prior to her appointment, she served the department for 15 years as medical director and assistant health commissioner.
