Hailey is a senior at Dublin Coffman HS, but she has a self-described “second grader’s excitement for learning”, meaning she loves learning for the pure sake of learning. She’s fascinated by little things: how her muscles can have a memory, how her brain can send messages faster than shecould ever send texts, how microscopic cells can communicate and work together. She’s always been interested in pursuing a career in medicine; however, Hailey wants to treat the person as a whole– not just the broken arm they come in with. Recently, she’s learned exactly how cancer works, how important networking is, and the true meaning of hard work in a class called Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Hailey also helped create a greenhouse in downtown Dublin where she can teach others everything they need to know about plants. Finally, Hailey rows for Dublin Crew. Oh, and she can’t wait to see the Packers win the Superbowl. . . again.
